Chapter 348 — Breaking Off the Engagement
Years of Heartflutter Page 3 of 3
Yang Ce had just stepped into the classroom when his phone rang. He hadn't intended to answer, but a glance at the caller ID showed it was Fang Tian—how could Yang Yongjin not pick up?
"Old Man Fang, what is it? I'm in class at school right now." Yang Ce lowered his voice, ducked his head, and answered.
Though Yang Ce was at school and had long been in the habit of skipping classes—the teachers didn't bother with him anymore—he still wouldn't brazenly do whatever he pleased in the middle of a lesson. After all, he was Xiao Qing's sworn younger brother; if he behaved badly, people would naturally think ill of Xiao Qing. Even if they didn't dare say anything, Yang Yongjin didn't want to be looked down on.
"Come by my place in a bit. There's something I need to tell you," Fang Tian said. "For now, go to class. We'll talk then."
"All right, I'll come over at noon." Yang Ce agreed and hung up.
"You're kept pretty busy with business every day, aren't you!" Tian Zaihua watched Yang Yongjin arrive late and start taking a call the moment he entered the classroom, and gave a chuckle.
"As if you're any busier? You probably can't even find your own classroom anymore, can you?" Yang Ce laughed. "Chasing girls to this extent—you've really raised it to an art!"
"Boss, don't underestimate me." Tian Yan pointed at the few books on his desk. "I've been reading marketing books nonstop these days, all so I won't embarrass you! If you hand the Donghai company over to me to run someday and I lose your money, I'd have failed all your recommending and trust."
Yang Shuoxuan was only joking. Tian Yan's recent behavior was perfectly clear to him—the kid had been working much harder than before, and his dorm room was piled high with marketing textbooks. It seemed he really did want to accomplish something big.
"It's good that you have that ambition. Keep at it, and that's victory in itself." Yang Ce patted Tian Yan on the shoulder. "Have you been in touch with your dad lately?"
