Chapter 1065 — A Formidable Way They Had Seen Plenty Of Badasses Before, But Never One As Badass As Wei Zhao — The Man Did Not Even Bother With His Car, He Just Kicked The Other Fellow's Car Open!

The Blossom Guardian

The gaze of the bald man in sunglasses had also turned somewhat gloomy. He had not expected Wei Zhao to be so formidable — it seemed the man was quite a hand at this? A shadow flickered through his eyes, though the sunglasses screened it, so that no one could see the change in his expression.

Watching Wei Zhao kick his car open, the bald man in sunglasses neither kept up his cursing nor got out to settle the score; instead he sank into thought.

Could this man be Feng Xiaoxiao's bodyguard? The situation was getting rather complicated.

The onlooking men and women, seeing that the bald man in sunglasses had his car kicked by Wei Zhao and yet made no reaction whatsoever, still huddled inside without moving, immediately began to mock and jeer.

This was a barefaced provocation — his car had been kicked, and he did not even dare make a sound. Was that still a man?

"Spineless coward!"

"That is just pathetic. With that little ability, he still comes out to put on airs?"

"Where did all that courage from before go? Were you not calling him a pretty boy? Dare you say it one more time?"

"Exactly, who is the pretty boy? That man is masculine and handsome. Sure, you have a big bald head and look fierce enough, but it is no use — you are the soft, sissy pretty boy!"

"So it really is 2B — that is you!"

Facing the curses of the onlookers, the bald man in sunglasses was about to explode with rage, but he still held it in. Now was not the time to lose his temper; this chance had not come easily, and he could not ruin this race because of his own anger.

Wei Zhao gave the bald man in sunglasses in the Land Rover a faint glance, a barely perceptible smile flickering at the corner of his mouth. The man's strange behavior had already roused Wei Zhao's suspicion — he had kicked his car, yet the man showed no reaction at all, and that was not how a normal person behaved.

Moreover, it did not quite square with the arrogant character the bald man in sunglasses had displayed earlier.

Wei Zhao's suspicion on his side left the bald man in sunglasses deeply frustrated as well. He too had noticed Wei Zhao's doubt, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Earlier, in order to make himself look more like a small-time thug who had come here to race, he had used some of the tricks and tones such thugs commonly used when harassing girls — all to blend into this crowd.

But he had never imagined that the man beside Feng Xiaoxiao would be so arrogant, getting out to kick a car over a few words. This was an out-and-out violent maniac. The bald man in sunglasses wondered inwardly: where had Feng Xiaoxiao found this fellow? How could he be so savage?

But it was too late for regret now. The bald man in sunglasses did not want a clash with Wei Zhao at this moment; if the two of them started fighting before the race, it would inevitably affect the race about to begin. If the organizers canceled the race or split the two of them into separate races, that was not what he wanted to see.

This opportunity had been hard-won. Feng Xiaoxiao had finally stumbled onto his strong suit, and he did not want to give it up. Being suspected and cursed now did not matter; so long as the race went on normally and he achieved his aim, that was enough.

Fortunately, after Wei Zhao glanced at him and saw that he did not get out, he paid him no further attention, but opened the door on Feng Xiaoxiao's side and let her out.

Looking at the Land Rover beside her, Feng Xiaoxiao frowned. The Land Rover's displacement was more than double that of her Audi; racing against a car like that, was she not just waiting to lose? And this stretch of mountain road had gone unrepaired for years, which gave the Land Rover every advantage, while the Audi on a track like this was clearly at a considerable disadvantage.

"Wei Zhao, darling, why don't we ask to switch to another race? His car..." Feng Xiaoxiao glanced at the bald man's Land Rover and said with some worry.

"It is fine..." Wei Zhao waved his hand lightly. At any other time he would have taken Feng Xiaoxiao's advice, but at this moment he felt there was something off about the bald man in sunglasses, and naturally wanted to see just what the man was after.

Wei Zhao adjusted the driver's seat so that two people could sit there.

He got in first, then said to Feng Xiaoxiao: "Xiaoxiao, get in."

Seeing how certain Wei Zhao was, Feng Xiaoxiao climbed in without hesitation — which meant that Wei Zhao would be driving with Feng Xiaoxiao in his arms.

One had to understand that this was an extremely dangerous move. Even off the track, on an ordinary road, it was a dangerous and forbidden thing to do — yet Wei Zhao was deliberately using it in a race, where the danger was even greater.

"Oh—" The onlooking men and women all cried out in astonishment.

They had seen some rather difficult racing stunts before — a male driver steering while the pretty girl in the passenger seat jerked him off, for instance — but compared with what Wei Zhao was doing, that was child's play.

Driving like this, four hands and four feet tangled together, the slightest lack of coordination would mean the car wrecked and its people dead.

And these onlookers naturally loved thrilling behavior; seeing Wei Zhao so bold, they all cheered excitedly.

The bald man in sunglasses in the Land Rover naturally saw this scene as well, and an odd light flashed through his eyes. He had never expected Wei Zhao to pull such a dangerous stunt, but this was good — it saved him a great deal of effort. This way, Feng Xiaoxiao's car would be all the easier to lose control of.

But how Wei Zhao raced, whether it was dangerous, whether he might die — none of that was what these onlookers cared about. Whether Wei Zhao lived or died had nothing to do with them. In this racing ground, year after year, no small number of cars were wrecked and people killed; yet even when someone died, no one would break the rules and leak what happened here.

"Quiet, everyone. The race is about to begin!" The voice of the organizers came again from the speakers on the plaza in front of the mountain, and a man who looked like a referee, holding a small flag, walked over and stood not far from the Audi and the Land Rover.

"In a moment, when he waves the flag, we can go," Feng Xiaoxiao explained to Wei Zhao. "How will we work it?"

"I will handle the brake and the gas, and I will hold the wheel together with your hand," Wei Zhao said.

"All right, no problem!" Feng Xiaoxiao nodded excitedly.

In truth, this was not much different from Wei Zhao driving himself — only a little more dangerous. But Wei Zhao simply wanted Feng Xiaoxiao to experience the sense of speed that came with being a racer, and so he had resorted to this.

Feng Xiaoxiao liked this way of doing things too, and pressed herself a little closer into Wei Zhao's arms. Being held in his embrace felt very comfortable to her; apart from holding hands, she and Wei Zhao had never been more intimate than this, and today was the first time!
